Friends of Coney Hall Park

The Friends of Coney Hall Park work with local organisations including Idverde, Bromley Council, EACH, Nash College, St John’s Church, local schools and Guide / Scout groups to improve the park. They’re still fundraising for ‘Play for All’, their biggest and most ambitious project. They’ve raised over £64,000 so far but Phase Two of the project still needs more support.

Phase One, completed in May saw the creation of the ‘Learn to Ride’ circuit for young children and three concrete table tennis tables. The removal of two fences, laying a new path and planting over twenty trees has already enhanced the appearance of the area and in time the trees will provide a new habitat for wildlife.

Phase two should happen as soon as they’ve raised another £20,000, hopefully by summer 2025. This involves extending an unused area of hard standing and building a Multi Use Games Area where youngsters can play football or basketball. A seating area will provide a safe place for them to sit and chat with friends, or for parents who are watching their younger children play. This, together with the table tennis tables and the ‘Learn to Ride’ circuit will ensure our park caters for all ages, including teenagers and young adults.

They really need your support – so why not support them when you buy your ticket to the fireworks? (Or, donate directly online.)
