Important Information London Bridge Station
You may be aware that work is underway to completely rebuild London Bridge station along with new track layout and signalling; many of these changes will have a particular impact on residents who use the Orpington and Hayes rail lines but also, to a lesser extent, other users of the rail network. For two years from January 2015 to December 2017, services to and from London Bridge will be significantly altered to allow the rebuild to take place. The key headline impacts are:

· From January 2015 to August 2016, services to and from Charing Cross will no longer be able to call at London Bridge.
· From August 2016 to December 2017, Charing Cross services will call at London Bridge, however Cannon Street (CST) services will not.

Southeastern have set out initial proposals for how this will affect their future timetable. Please see attached. This includes an overall summary of the changes and detailed alterations. The proposals document is heavy on information and I have therefore taken the liberty to highlight in yellow the key parts which most affect this borough. I have also listed below a summary of the changes for ease of reference although on some parts I am seeking clarity from Southeastern on the impacts. A detailed timetable has yet to be made available and this is expected later next year. At present, comments and feedback are being invited on the summary changes for January 2015 to August 2016 contained in the proposals document only.

If you could pass any feedback and/or comments back to myself and Lisa Allen cc’d in by Friday 31st January we can collate a borough response to submit to Southeastern. I will also be recommending to the Chairman of the Public Transport Liaison Meeting, Cllr W Huntington-Thresher an item on the next meeting agenda (TBC for early spring) to discuss these impacts further.

If you have any questions in the meantime please respond to both Lisa Allen and myself and we will endeavour to answer them or seek answers from Southeastern.

Kind regards

Steve
